It depends on the development of educational technology and the development of free on-line material. However, even the technology is advanced enough and the resource is plenty enough to substitute books. This cannot be as easy as using paper to instead silk to make a book. Book has its own unique characteristic which is difficult to be fully simulated by modern technology.
