Normally, the hardwares and softwares of the laptops offered by OLPC should be certificated and go with industry standards. In this way, in most cases, the questions above does not exist. However, if some misfit really happens, the local government have rights to ask OLPC to notify the manufacture to add some special adapters to solve this problem. As to the software problems, they could also solve it by downloading or distribution of certain applications.
