The features of current mobile phone

Nowadays, the mobile phone becomes increasingly multimedia-rich functions. Besides the basic functions like SMS-Text Messaging, record and Calendar, it is also common to see a mobile phone has features of Email Access, Internet Browser, MP3 Player, digital camera, simple games, audio/video recording, FM/AM, and game player. There are also some customer-built features, such as user defined and downloadable ring tones, logos and themes. Using the existing 3G (WCDMA/HSPA) network, it is possible to involve bringing TV services to the mobile phones; through built-in Bluetooth technology, mobile phones can support wireless equipments, file transfer and Remote control.

Mobile is also used for performing balance checks, account transactions, payments etc., which is known as mobile banking. Mobile banking today (2007) is most often performed via SMS or the Mobile Internet but can also use special programs downloaded to the mobile device.
