Opposition to Putin/Medvedev – does it exist?

It is hard to judge on the surface level. Considering the real political power play in Russia, Prime minister is where the power lies and Presidency is not effective.

Medvedev 1.Not enough of a power base to challenge Putin 2.Putin finds him useful 3.It is plausible that people may look to Medvedev as alternate source of power in the future but currently this is very unlikely
