"Study the past if you would define the future"

Confucius

Personal, business and academic perspectives are all combined, but are sometimes highlighted individually. I will express my opinion through my perspective and some interesting quotes.

"The future belongs to those who prepare for it today."

Malcolm X (1925 - 1965)

For me this was a very new and interesting subject,

Topics can be complex but also very logic.

Multiple views and discussions make scenarios more clear,

Looking into the future always bring some sort of fear.

"The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time."

Abraham Lincoln (1809 - 1865)

Using an open community is essential for good communication,

Fact is, the age we are in now runs on knowledge and information.

Developing scenarios in multiple steps gives an advantage,

It makes scenarios more precise and easier to manage.

"The trouble with our times is that the future is not what it used to be."

Paul Valery (1871 - 1945)

Scenario planning would benefit every company,

But in most companies it is not a high priority.

When scenarios are used in a company's strategy,

They must be designed and looked at seriously.

"The best way to predict the future is to invent it."

Alan Kay

Scenario thinking is mostly learned through practice and experience,

But a solid academic basis contributes as an important guidance.

The lectures and workshops were well prepared and explained,

Through this experience good knowledge has been obtained.

"To make no mistakes is not in the power of man; but from their errors and mistakes the wise and good learn wisdom for the future."

Plutarch (46 AD - 120 AD)
