According to Daniel Huebner director of Community Affairs for Second Life at Linden Lab in San Francisco, people in SL have different goals: "They have all manner of goals just like in the real life. Some people want to be successful, they want to make money; some people want to get prestige, they want to be recognized(…)There are a few people who just want to be creative. Much of the same things that drive people in the real world, drive people in the Second Life. But Second Life is an easy way for them to achieve those goals some times. You don't need to be a trained architect to build a skyscraper, you don't have to have a pilots license to fly a jet."
