I think that all developments regarding the internet (broadband, security, standards, etc.) will ultimately lead to a virtual information society, and that means that the wide range of information interaction will be dominated by the internet channel. Currently, a good example of such information sharing via the web is the Skype site that offers its community of users phone services for free. Skype [1] is a company that calls itself “the Global P2P Telephony Company that is changing the telecommunications world by offering consumers free, superior-quality calling worldwide.” While internet telephony is still in its infancy, this website will definitely set an example for others in leading the world to a virtual information society.
