The actual economic and financial situation can be a threaten to EU as it is making possible for nationalist forces to become stronger.<br/>

Those movements blame EU as the sole responsible for the high unemployment rates and low growth rates of their economies. They basically say that each country should be for their nationals and all foreigners should be expelled from there. This, in their points os view, should be enough to balance again the economy in a more favorable way for them.<br/>

This national identification could also be noticed during some of the last voting processes, when some important topics for the EU were rejected by some countries after a popular referendum.
