There are two prerequisites to understand what will happen to the future sites of the internet. 1) Will the internet exist in future? 2) If it exists, what is its function?

As far as we know internet offers us information, entertainment and connection. The implication is that if something is invented to replace internet in the three perspectives internet has no reason to survive. Is it possible? Could be. Imagine we can retrieve information, amuse ourselves and connect others via the chip in our brain, why should we bother opening the computer? So what will happen to the sites? They disappear.

Suppose the internet does exist, then how it functions? It depends on what it serves. In person internt serves more in searching for information. So in next 5-10 years, accordingly, most sites should be clearly classified and user friendly.
