Future of democracy
Future of Democracy may be defined in two ways:
One is to try to extrapolate the elements of the democracy, with possible changes and evolutions, but preserving the basic framework of what is known as "democracy" today. One example is "emerging democracy" as Joi Ito called it.
Second approach is to come-up with the "sucessor" of "democracy", which may radically change its substance, framework and functions from the democracy as we know it.
The candidates for the latter can include: "networking" and "sharism". "Networking" in this sense was first introduced by Jessika Lipnak and Jeffery Stamps in the 1980s. "Sharism" is proposed by Isac Mao, just rescently like this year. Fortunatelhy, Isac is participating in this year's CiNUM so we should know more about this idea directly from him.
