The user friendliness of a solution combined with its attractivity determines the amount and kind of people that will make use of it. Below are some Enablers/Inhibitors of customer expectency.

Enablers:

  • Simplification : The simpler it gets for a customer to operate its solution the faster and easier he can use it.
  • Attractivity : The more attractive a solution is the more it dazzles the customer which will ignore most of the inefficiencies and thus he will conclude that the solution is very user friendly.
  • Personalization : The more solutions are tailored to a customer the more he will experience it as user friendly.

Inhibitors:

  • Privacy: Privacy / governement regulations / safety regulations hold back the development of some solutions because some data shoulden't be publicly available or should be secured in such a way that it cannot be incorporated in all solutions. Thus making it impossible to offer everything the user wants in two mouse clicks.
