Back? The future of books
Description:
New form of entertainment such as film, television and especially computer games have been becoming increasingly popular. These forms of modern entertainment especially spark the interest of younger people, while the traditional forms of entertainment, like books and plays are generally liked by older people. If you'd extrapolate this trend the people that like old forms of entertainment will eventually die out, leaving people behind that only enjoy modern entertainment. So this could very well be a big threat for the book industry.
Enablers:
1. More advanced computer games
2. Development of new forms of entertainment
3. Virtual reality
Inhibitors:
1. Nostalgical value of "traditional" entertainment
2. Evolution of traditional entertainment
