A study produced for the “Center for Strategic and International studies” by Jim Lewis, a 16-year veteran of the State and Commerce Departments states that even though online attacks such as attacking the water supply or taking out the electrical grid will provide a strategic advantage and help in carrying out bombing strikes or other assaults and therefore increasing damage, the impact on cyber warfare (at least today) is largely overestimated and even goes into neglect able if not followed by a physical strike.
